Embracing your birth story
"The power and INTENSITY of contractions cannot be stronger than you, because it is you" - unknown
Every birth is different and beautiful in it's in own way. The birth space is sacred and should be honored as such. Let me help tell your birth story, capturing the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to bring that miracle you created into this world. I honor every mother and child and do not take lightly the honor of getting to step into your birth space. I aim to capture the beauty, the intensity, and the love that happens birthing your little one. Birth photography is a raw, emotional way to look back on your birth and see not only the hard work you put in but the first time you got to meet your child. At the root of it, it's a love story. Images you can look back on and images your child will also cherish when they're older.
If you choose to book with me, I help cultivate a safe space for you to let go. Birth can be messy, chaotic, exhilarating, and even overwhelming. There's no judgement here, I'm not one to get squeamish by bodily fluids, functions, or whichever atmosphere you need to reach that finish line of bringing baby earth side.
There is a vulnerability to birth and the images that come from it. Because of that, I only share your story if you want me to. While I encourage you to share some to help empower other women, I also understand wanting them just for you and the family. All images will remain private if that's what you choose.

I am a mother myself. I am also a certified birth photographer, I hold a central sterile certification (important for c-section births done in the OR), and have walked through photography before.

My birth story
I gave birth in March of 2024 at 37 weeks to a healthy baby boy. I went into labor when my water spontaneously broke at 10:30 p.m. (right as I wanted to go to bed). I delivered at Rust Medical Center and spent 11 hours in labor before pushing. While limited on the positions I could do due to my sons heart rate dropping, I otherwise was able to deliver vaginally and naturally with no complications. I had hired a birthing doula who took photos on her cell phone. At the time I wasn't sure I wanted photos and was a little shy about the idea. But once I had my son and I got to see the photos I was so so thankful she took them. To see what my body was capable of and the raw moments of meeting my son are something I'll forever cherish.
